Get Your Class Pass!

Learn essential movements of classic burlesque and psychology of the tease, starring: Glamorous Gloves! We’ll cover classic burlesque moves as a foundation and play with imaginative ways to peel off those gloves— getting a sense of how “the strip” connects with “the tease.”

Ruby Joule will guide you through the classic techniques while exploring a repertoire of different glove reveals, bringing it all together with a short combination. Bring your own over-the-elbow gloves, or a few will be provided for class use.

What to Bring: Long, over the elbow gloves. Yoga mat for stretching if you wish.

Voluptuous mania! Sumptuous madness! Decadence on the spree! In the heart of the old world, two legendary cities in the kingdom of antiquity were the places to be for vice, hedonism, and moral restraint off the leash; Weimar of Berlin and Paris of France. Life was a party! By day, Weimar was a normal, bustling downtown area and by 5pm it transformed into a sprawling flesh market drenched in neon lights. All of life was reduced to its common denominator of lust and its satisfaction.

Be transported into a beautiful environment to dream in, as extravagant burlesque follies, exuberant vaudeville productions, and Expressionist cabaret experiments are presented by dazzling artists to ignite and fan the flames of your imagination on our velvet drenched stage. Tableaus of hot jazz, hot bodies, wild feats and madcap displays of unhinged and intoxicating dance, story and song await you as we chase the dragon and seek out the green fairy.

In this movement-based burlesque class, you'll learn how to work with flowy robes, dramatic dusters, and other glamorous outerwear to add elegance and drama to your act.  From soft romantic reveals to high-energy fabric play, we’ll explore how to use your robe as an extension of your performance.  

Known for her bombastic fabric work, Sherry Bomb shares her 15 years of experience to help you harness the full impact of your costumes on stage. Perfect for all levels, this class blends technique, stage presence, and a whole lot of dreamy fun!  Bring your favorite robe, duster, or flowing garment and get ready to twirl like you mean it!

Grab your knee pads and leave your inhibitions at the door, this class teaches  the art of f#*king the floor. Through guided drills, learn to command the floor with fluid movements, transitions, and techniques that bring out the seductive energy within. Emphasis is placed on body awareness, weight distribution, and safe mechanics so you can move with both power and intention.

Whether you’re new to floorwork or looking to refine your skills, Anastasia Arsenic will provide accessible tools to own your space and confidently express yourself through musicality, and expressive confidence —unlocking your inner vixen and transforming the floor into your stage.

Once each quarter, the Academy hosts a collaborative workshop designed to give students and performers personalized support on their creative process. These workshops provide a space to receive constructive feedback, explore new ideas, and brainstorm with Academy instructors and fellow students.

Participants are encouraged to bring whatever stage of an act they’re developing, an initial concept, a visual theme, a costume idea, music choices, choreography, or a nearly finished piece. Whether you’re stuck on a specific element or simply want fresh perspectives, this session is built to help you move your act forward.

Each participant will have 10 minutes of dedicated workshop time to share their idea and receive focused feedback.
